K9 Service With A Twist (K9SWAT.org) trains and places service dogs, emotional support dogs, and canine battle buddy companions with veterans experiencing PTSD, military sexual trauma (MST), and other service-related challenges. Our mission focuses on creating life-changing partnerships between dogs and the heroes who have served our country. By pairing highly trained dogs with veterans and first responders, K9 Service with a Twist helps foster independence, confidence, healing, and renewed purpose. In addition to supporting veterans, the organization works with rescue dogs and community partners to give both dogs and people a second chance at a brighter future. Their programs create meaningful connections that benefit entire families and communities while Servicing Warriors Around Texas.
In addition, K9SWAT.org has launched a groundbreaking initiative assembling a dedicated team of certified K9 handlers to collaborate with Premiere Search and Rescue. This unique program brings together highly trained K9 units specializing in both rescue and recovery operations, alongside local military veterans. Through joint training exercises and mission readiness drills, these teams are ready to deploy swiftly and effectively in response to natural disasters and critical recovery efforts —combining canine precision, human resilience, and community service in a powerful force for good.
100% funded through donations, K9 SWAT.org takes no administration salary. All funds are used to pay trainers, care for dogs, and enable the veteran to get their partner completely free of charge.
