About this Nominee
The Warriors Remembrance & Research Foundation (WRRF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Spring Branch, Texas. It was founded in 2024 by a 10-year-old, Nicholas Aidan, who was deeply moved by the neglect of veterans’ graves in local cemeteries. What began as one boy’s mission to honor the forgotten has grown into a movement of restoration, remembrance, and service.
Two years later, Nicholas’s vision has expanded into a full-scale Texas Veterans Service Organization that supports veterans’ families and preserves veterans' legacies. As of June 2026, the Foundation provides care for over 1300 veterans across 20 WRRF Partner Cemeteries in 14 Texas counties with over 50 cemeteries and three thousand veterans on our nonprofits waiting list.
The WRRF mission is to ensure every veteran who served honorably—living or deceased—is cherished and remembered by maintaining government grave markers in community cemeteries to the same high standards as national cemeteries, documenting their service and sacrifice, helping veterans and their families obtain and improve earned death and burial benefits through advocacy and assistance, and promoting patriotism throughout Texas.
Our vision is a Texas where every veteran is remembered, every grave is honored to national cemetery standards, and every community safeguards the legacy of those who served through volunteer-led Remembrance Lodges and improved veterans’ benefits.
