As Western Comal County’s 9-1-1 emergency services provider, Bulverde Spring Branch Emergency Services, also known as Bulverde Spring Branch Fire & EMS, covers 216 square miles of the Texas Hill Country. We are a distinguished career department employing 108 crew members who are dual-trained as firefighters and, at a minimum, EMT-Basic. This dual proficiency allows seamless transitions between firefighting and medical duties, ensuring efficient staff utilization and swift assessment of both fire-related hazards and medical emergencies at any given scene. We are also dedicated to preparing our citizens for fire and medical emergencies through practical education, hands-on training, and access to life-saving resources. We offer no-cost educational programs and workshops to the community on safety practices, emergency preparedness, and fire prevention through our Stop the Bleed, Hands-Only CPR, fire extinguisher safety training and wildfire prevention classes.
